Jackets Galore!!!

Here are the jackets that I have been working fast and furious on. I am going to have a booth at the craft show in Powell next Saturday and will have some of these jackets in it. I hope to do really great!!!
I have also taught this technique to several women and I love to see what they have come up with when making these.
Guess I am off to the machine to get my jackets finished!!!

YIppee!!! Finished another one.

This is the latest quilt that was a class at Yellowstone Quilt Fest with Barbara Harrison. She taught a new technique that we did not make half square triangles to make this. I made mine with flannels so it is soft and will be a Christmas gift for one of the men on my list.

Grandbaby news

I was told this morning that it's only 35 days til my new baby will be arriving in this world!!! I am getting so excited!!!
I covered the pads of the rocking chair with a light blue background fabric that has dragonflies on it for the baby room. Forgot to get a picture before we took it down to them.

I posted some quilts I worked on last week and are ready for quilting. I haven't just been doing stuff for the Grand!!!

We are getting ready for Yellowstone Quilt Fest here in Cody the middle of Sept.

Take care
Jeanie

Strip Club Quilt

I won this fabric at strip club and got it together in one day!!! I hope to get this one quilted also this week and it will bring out the fabrics so much better.

Diamond Daytrip

This was a class about 3 years ago at Quilt Wyoming. It really looks cool done and when it is quilted it will be so much better!!! I am proud at the way it turned out.

Journey to the Light

I finally got this baby together and ready to be quilted.
I wasn't going to put the wolves in it until Bryan told me he liked
them in it and since the quilt is for his Christmas present I did it like he
likes. This was a fun one to do for me. I changed some of the background colors and did it more like northern lights.

Another view. I had Bryan holding the quilt instead of trying to take ont he floor.

Blue & Yellow Splash

I finally played with these blocks that I won at Guild meeting and put them together. Turned out really neat. When I quilt them I am going to put a daisey design on the quilt.

Another view of the Grand baby quilt

Once again here is a closer image I hope.
I have some more things to get done so am glad this is done!!!

Grandbaby Quilt

Here is the first Grand baby quilt!!! It's the boondoggle quilt that I was doing with Sylvia and Chris. While working on it I realized that I made a BIG mistake so had to modify the pattern slightly. I used Sarah's colors and a fun frog pattern is embroidered on the lavender squares.
The back has dragonflies and a more blue background so will go with whatever sex we get. That's right we still don't know for sure.
She really thinks boy though.

Closer image of "Fan Dance"

This is another image of the "Fan Dance"
It is supposed to be a closer view. You can tell I need to have help
with the picture part. Never good at taking pictures.

Fan Dance

It's finally done!!!! The only problem is now I am going to add boarders to make bigger for a lap quilt. Just not enough wal room!!!
This was soooo fun. It's paper pieced using a new technique and I didn't have to tear away paper!!!! So cool!!!

Fan Dance Workshop

Been looking forward for this workshop for months and it finally happened!!! Alice Kay came from Laramie and taught us a new technique for paper piecing. It is so great. I have been working away at the quilt squares since whenever I get the chance.
What fun!!! The pattern is called "Fan Dance". It will be beautiful when finished.

Farm Time

This is the last one for this week. This quilt was started 2 years ago at least with Barbara Harrison teaching the class. Applique is something that I just never got into and am not very comfortable with. I finished the blocks after surgery when locked in the hotel room waiting to come home. Got them put together and my quilting angel Sylvia Gauthier quilted for me. I got it bound today and a sleeve to hang on the wall.
It is a great project and I just might try something like this again!!!

Done UFO's for this week!!!

Got this one done also. This was a class with Sherry Fink two years ago.
I think it's called the disappearing nine patch but not quite sure. Anyway, it was easy to do as I made all nine patches then cut them to create the quilt top. Had the top finished long time ago but as with the bear paw had to quilt it and bind it for it to be done!!!

Here is the bear paw quilt finally finished!!! I took this class with Barbara Harrison in April one or two years ago. Now Bryan has his
quilt finally. It's done in flannels so it's oh so soft and the flannel has
wildlife pictures on it. He will be so surprised!!!

Sunday, May 13, 2007

Here is another one with me trying to get a quilt done on the big machine. This is one of Sarah's quilts that I have to get done for her this week. She has really turned into quite the quilter!!!!

May 2007

This is me after surgery and I have lost over 100 pounds. I have lost 70 pounds since surgery and have gone off all medications except one and the cpap machine for breathing at night. That last medication is down by half as of last Doctors appointment.

This is my project from Quilt Wyoming and me summer of 2006.

I did get this poject finished for Sarah my daughtor by her birthday in January of 2007!!! That is the top picture that Sarah took for me because she would not give the quilt back for me to show and tell.

New Beginning...

Okay Gals here it is finally. I am stepping out side the box!!! Here is my journey from unhealthy to healthy and my creative journey in quilting....

First place to start is Spring 2006 with a mystery quilt......
